If I had it to do over..... I would buy the brackets separate and purchase Harley (or equivalent) hard bags.
The kit I purchased has held up good, I sold the bags once I had acquired some Rushmore bags.
The kit's bags were ok, but did not have quite the detail quality (the way they closed mainly).
They did not leak, just did not close as well.
I wanted the little bit of extra room & the ease of opening and closing the Rushmore bag offers.
So I bought a set of lids & the lower's and then purchased the hinges/latches.
Happy with the end result.
