Default 2018 Fatbob Cruise Control

Anyone installed this bad boy yet? I am about to rip the gas tank off to see how to route the wire, but I figured I'd better search the interwebs for a write up. When search failed I came here. Cheers!

Not yet, but the dealer has to flash the ECM in order for it to work.

Yeah, but I wanted to install it to save some time and $$ at the dealer. I wanted them to flash it at my 1k service.

I did it yesterday. 10 min to install. Just remember to zip tie an old charge cable or something to the old harness before you pull it out if the bars. That way you can zip tie the new harness to it and pull it back through. You don’t have to take anything off at the tank as everything is behind that rubber boot in front of the tank.
There are a few vids already on you tube as well.

My confusion came from two points (lessons learned).

1. I accidentally chased the wrong wire. My bad.
2. The wire that comes with the module with the cruise control is >2ft longer than the stock. Which further lead me down the rabbit hole. I mean, who the hell does that?!

Extra wire after install.

Wow. Is there space to tuck the extra wire into the frame easily?

Or better just to trim it and fit new connector pins?

Need to follow this as it's one of my planned mods for this spring on my Lowrider.

I ziptied it to the existing harness. It isn't perfect, but it works.
