Default water in the speedo

How do you remove moisture out of the speedometer on the bike in the signature? How did water get in it when I only sponge bath my bike and havent hit any rain? I did notice it after my $400 1000 mile maintenance.

I got water in my fuel gauge after using my cycle dryer. It took a couple of days but it went away.

Would you sponge bath your dashboard in your car? Could it be you spongebath ittoo often? I only use a microfiber rag with a spray cleaner applied to the rag to clean my ride. I had washed mine only once since I boughtit (7K miles ago) and only applied water with soap to the lower section (everything below the tank and seat).

Welcome to the wonderful world of HD!! The mosture in your speedo will probably spread to gas gage as well. Once its in there it doesn't come out really. It will clear up but under certain conditions it will recondense under the glass. I about stroked 3 years ago when mine did it. Took it to dealer and told it was not warrented unless got so bad couldn't read gage. After 3 years and 45k I have come to accept it as part of the HD quarks. Don't make it right, just the way it is. I have heard of drilling to small holes in "glass" and purging the compartment then pluging holes with small rubber stoper or sylicone.

Not much you can do. Dealerships won't help you either. Get used to it and like they said the fuel guage does the same. That's nothing much compared to all the other problems they have...read on!

My brother had the same problem with moisture getting into his speedo and fogging up on his 07 Ultra. Dealer replaced it with no problem. 2 weeks later his tach did the same thing.
