Default Air Cleaner Gasket Question

I'm installing a new Roland Sands Air Cleaner. It came with a new gasket but no kind of sealer. When I took off the old gasket it seemed to be stuck on pretty good so my question is do I need a sealant for the new gasket or will it bond from heat?

not necessary sealant, only the gasket.

Some actually have adhesive on one side and you peel off the backing to stick on intake

Yeah when I installed the Stage 1 kit the gasket had a sticky side with clear tape that needed to be peeled off, but the gasket that came with the new Roland Sands air kit did not. That's what confused me. Anyway I just installed it without anything to make it stick. Can't ride the bike though due to lousy weather here in NY.
