Any opinions on 2018 Street Bob?
You don't hear a lot about them.
I'm thinking of getting one, trading in my 2017 Fatboy S. I've seen a few comments about the new Street Bobs here in the forums, but a lot of that was before people actually bought one and started riding them.
I've always loved the looks of the Street Bob, and I'm just curious about what people here who have a an '18 SB think of it.
Thanks, you will help me make a decision.

Lemmy at Revzilla tested all the '18's, and while he loved loved loved the Fat Bob, he said the one he'd be most likely to put his money down for would be the Street Bob.
The Street Bob wasn't my style so I went for the Fat, but I do have to say that the Street Bob fit me exceptionally well. I certainly considered it before going with the Fat Bob.

if you compare a street bob 17 with street bob 18....I prefer Street bob year 17. Look more big and look better. I dont understand because do you want change a great fat bot 2017 with the new street bob 2018. THe look of the street bob 18 its very poor if you compare with the previous years.
With the breakout happen the same problem....the breakout of the years 2013-2017, look better and breat bike if you compare with the new breakout 2018.

Yeah that's the ONLY thing I don't like about the SB, the small tank. If I get one, I'll have a sportster with a bigger tank than my softail for god's sake.

18 streetbob owner here, just an awesome bike traded my 14 slim for it. I never gave the smaller tank a thought. Go ride the 18 streetbob or any of the 18 softails and then decide.
The streetbob felt considerably lighter and suspension is awesome. The M8 seems to run cooler, plenty of Tq and giddy up!
The biggest down side with the new bikes is the MoCo and modding the exhaust etc. (warranty)
I did the stage 1 with HD tuner, A/C and HD slip-ons.
Future mods leatherpro bags, (24 months) redshift 468 cam and tune/tuner

Street Bob is the most nimble softail with M8, its very light for 107ci, has thinnest rear tyre, looks minimalist and charismatic.
but.. the seat is not comfortable, no lower lumbar support which is essential if you wanna crank that M8. SB and Slim are two softails with worst seats.
also when it comes to design - I think those rubber spring tubes on forks are for sportster 883 and not a softail and I definitely dont like it.

Like others, I think the stock tank on them doesn’t look that great (but a guy on here who posted a mock up of a new SB with a Sportster 48 tank, and I thought it looked killer). My only other issue - and I’m not sure if it is stock or if it’s an option - but my dealer had a new SB with wrinkle black handlebars, and I thought it looked really cheap.
