Default 90/90 front on a Train??

Anyone put a Metz 90/90 on the front of their Train? If so, did it change the handling? How did you handle the Tube situation? Would you recommend it? Does having the Factory up-grade wheels make a difference? I'm also planning on changing the rear at the same time. Where did you buy?

The difference is 1/4" taller and 1/4" wider.
This should have been the stock tire size.

Here's a pic of my 90x90 Dunlop E-3.

you'll feel a big difference with the 90/90. like George says they should come with that size from the factory. Depends on the wheel mag/spoke for the tube or tubeless.

I've notices the Metz 880 come in 2 different lines, the XXL and the high milage cruiser touring model. What do you guys run?

I put the 90/90 x21 on my WG which is essentially the same set up , love it , while not as elegant looking , it handles WAY better in the twisties and 2 up

I have a Metzeler ME880 90/90 H21 on the front of my Train. Handles way better than the stocker! And I like how it fills more of the space between the tire an the front fender. No mods are required to go to this size. It'll fit on the stock rim using a regular inner tube.

Cheers!

I went the other way... I went to a 130. The 100 was too thin for the amount I like to lean... it pushes in the curves.

I'm thinking of getting rid of the 21" wheel and putting on an even fatter 18".

Let us know how the thinner tire works for you.

Just get them to put a tube in it. You need one for the spoked wheel, and it's ok to use tubes with tubeless tires (not the other way 'round though!). Get a new rim band too. Thta's what I did with mine.

Cheers!
