Dealer did mine while I was doing paperwork purchasing the bike. Couldn't have taken them more than 20 minutes or so. There's also a post from someone that installed one and the biggest challenge was the center top bolt.
Also, the reason I had it installed before leaving was I had a them on my dyna which prevented extensive damage on one occasion.

I did a search.....waste of time. I wish I could find it. I am pretty good at turning a wrench but damn if I can find any location on the side of the frame on either side to locate bolt holes.

Does it use the floorboard bracket mounts in any way?

My thoughts exactly; however according to the instructions no. As a matter of fact if you look at instructions the right side attachment is right where the rear brake master cylinder is located. Guess if no one can help on here I will check with a tech. HD instructions on some items leave a lot to be desired.

I tried to look at the pic he posted are there bolt holes on the inside of the frame?

On my 18 Deluxe they had plastic plugs in them that screw out. Hard to see the holes with them in there.

I didn't want them on my bike at first either..BUT after I out them on with the Hi-Way pegs attached..I never want to have a bike without them!!!
