Yeah, I've actually got tools, just figured I'd have them make those mods... looking at them, I certainly could have done them myself. I'm planning to do the next set of mods, so that should help. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

Is there a sissy bar bag big enough for you to use instead of saddle bags? Then you won't have to worry about bag/pipe issues. 'n you already have the sissy bar/ luggage rack. Willie Max makes some nice trunk bags. But I guess it all depends on what you're usin the bags for...

No place for bags on my ride
I have to stuff my jacket.

Nice ride lucky.

Yeah, i'd second the wrenching post. I was useless at that a few months ago. Went to the U.K, bought a set of torx and allens, also a set of comination spanners that were A/F Imperial. Torx $9, Allens $8 Combo spanners $5.50.

Borrowed from time to time a couple specific things from a bud and went to work.

I've installed beach bars, taken tank off, messed with electics, and installed everything myself, had some help from a bud on specific things.

Just waiting for the service manual to do my control cables, already done the brake. oh, and I was totally useless, as in .......figure out what a swing arm is etc. This is my first bike.

Good luck with everything. Forgot to mention..... there are no HD dealers where I live, nearest is on another island.

I"ll probably get a sissy bar bag also, as my wife requires a higher level of maintenance when travelling

I figure for some longer trips, we'll need saddles and a sissy bar bag. I want the detachable saddles so I can run without on the local day trips, or put them on when I'll need to carry a jacket or two and chaps. I love having all the detachable mods!

Sounds good tunaman. I've also used "Nelson Riggs" luggage for the sissy bar luggage rack on long trips. It's expandable.

Enjoy your ride! Looks like things are coming along great. Would love to see some prelim. pics before all the new stuff gets installed!

Thanks for the tip - I'll look into those as well.

I'm going to try to shoot some pics this morning, before the sun gets too high, and will post when I can.
