Softail Slim S Exhaust

Softail Slim S Exhaust
Hello All!
I've had my Harley Davidson Softail Slim S 16' (Vivid black) for about a year now and it is still 100% stock.
I was hoping to get some insight for a new exhaust. Not sure if I should purchase a pair of slip-on's or just buy a whole new exhaust system. I've been searching online and I love the looks of both the Vance & Hines 'Longshots' and the Rinehart 'Crossbacks'. Which set is best performance wise and what else would I need for a complete stage 1 upgrade?

I have read the "crossbacks" perform really well...almost as well as their 2 into 1. The stock pipes make good power with just slip on's. I has slip on's on my Slim an they woke it up some....the only reason I went full exhaust is I scored some true dual's that I like the look of. when I had my slip on's it popped like crazy on decel...I put some XiED tuners on the O2 sensors an it helped but didn't totally cure it. When I went to the full exhaust I got a FP3 which is working out great an it's easy to use.

A Stage I upgrade consists of 3 parts:
Free Flowing Air Cleaner
Free Flowing Exhaust
Re-Map of the ECU for EFI and Re-Jetting for Carb
Adding Thunder Torque Inserts™ to your exhaust is something you might consider.
Check out this video showing 5 different bikes with the Thunder Torque Inserts™:
Also, check out this video with Stock exhaust:
With the TTIs, you will get a bit deeper tone, giving your bike a throatier growl/rumble.
Also, you'll get a performance increase with gains in low and mid range torque with the TTIs.
Take a look at these Dyno Charts:
Best possible exhaust mod when comparing results per dollar spent(29.95).
Here's a LINK to our TTIs.
Here's a LINK to the Stage I upgrades we offer for Twin Cam models.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have questions.

I've already had a problem with mine (shorty after having my 1,000 mi. service). I went on a little ride (30-40 miles) and stopped to get something to eat. Went back to the bike to start and all I heard was a huge "clunk" noise. Had to get it towed to closest dealership. It took them about a week and said it was a bad battery?? Haven't had any problems since but I just thought it was very strange for that to happen to a brand new bike!!!
