oil bud oil cooler install

This would be my next pick for an oil cooler.https://www.ultracoolfl.com/shop/har...rs/the-reefer/
Had an oil bud on prior to this past summer for 7 years, but grew tired of this and that happening with it and the threads literally stripped out of the adapter plate and it was leaking so it was **** canned. Not currently running an oil cooler now.

You sure you want to scrap such an expensive piece because of a leak? What caused the threads to pull out?. The only weight they support is a short piece of hose. Even then if you used the zip ties that would not be a problem. Did you cross thread them ? Oilbud has a limited lifetime warranty. Limited in that no they won't warranty your abuse. The lifetime part of the warranty is damn nice to have if in the course of normal operation the cooler develops a problem . Your call of course but the option to repair or replace is there.

The adapter plate was a PIA always.
Every time you changed your oil you always had to worry that you were going to loosen the plate from pulling the filter off and that it was going to leak.
When the threads stripped out that was the last straw.
In the garbage can it went.

You clearly didn't look at the sight get well, and never seen one in person. There isn't a piece of road debris on any road u have ever been on that would damage an oil bud enough to leak. It is FAR sturdier than ANY other oil cooler on the market.

I think some people are having a hard time seeing the difference between say a Jagg cooler and this oilbud cooler.. Yes they are both oil coolers but the oilbud is less like this
and more like this
ha ha ha others are just trolling along.
less like a car radiator and more like the heat sink on your computers CPU

air does not pass thru the oilbud, just over the surface.
The oilbud has much more surface area than any fin and tube or stacked plate oil cooler that can be fit on a bike easily. That is what reason why it radiates heat even while no air is being passed over it

uhhh most heat sinks on pc's are finned array heat exchangers, even liquid cooling rads. They all allow air to pass through the fins and tubes. Sorry, pc nerd reporting
