Hi all, I have a couple questions about these baffels. I have read alot of the threads on here about these and everyone seems to like them but no one has said whether it made their bike louder than the stock baffels that came in their pipes. That is my question. I have a set of hooker header trouble makers and i really like the sound but would like them to just be a bit louder. Does anyone have any input on how big of a difference or how little of a difference these baffels make. Also any one try the competition baffels that hooker makes for these pipes. Would they be louder? Does anyone know?

IMO, "Big City Thunder" and "baffle" shouldn't be in the same phrase. They create the correct amount of backpressure for optimal performance, but don't reduce the volume. If you want performance, deep sound, and LOUD pipes, get them.
I can't speak to the hookers.

I'm running the vance & hines big shots long on my bike and did not like the stock sound of the pipes. I install the thunder monster baffles and now love the sound and preformance of my bike. They will give you better preformance and much deeper sound to you pipes, but they are only as loud as you want them. I can ride my bike around town or into any neighborhood without any problem or I can make it set off car alarms and raddle windows. Love my thunder monsters.
