Default 2018 exhaust (fatboy)

I just talked to V&H and the eliminator 300's will be available with satin chrome sometime. With no plans as of now for a full system with fatboy. Maybe this is due to the cat in the head pipe. Also, I think the rinehart 3.5 will fit behind the heat guard. Any thoughts on the two sound wise? I haven't ran across any of the two in person. . I can't let pop's 110 out bark me too much.

The Fat Boy cats are in the mufflers not the head pipes, fatbob they're in the header. The Rineharts eliminate the cats and sound good. D&D to have the fat cat first of January, my favorite 2 into 1.

Fatboy's cats are in the head pipe. Just like the Fat Bob. I guess HD updated their website. Not saying you are wrong but online spec's and me visually looking at my Fatboy they are in the head pipe.

WOW! Now THAT is interesting! I will say though that I have found quite a few mistakes on the HD website over the years. I wonder......

I talked to 2 designers at two major exhaust manufacturers who confirmed the were in the muffler before I even took mine apart. Also said the fatboy made better hp and torque increases, with slip ons over the fatbob for this reason. I'm personally waiting on a 2 into 1.

Well maybe I'm looking at something else. Could be due to lack of sleep and night shift lol. I just wonder which of the two system's above would sound the best. But I think TORQUEY just got a 2-1 system. I believe there are two out right now. TBR and bassani.

No, you looked at the HD site correctly and what you reported is what they stipulate. Remember, I said I have seen PLENTY of mistakes on their site before. Also, I did not get any exhaust system. Thus far it is bone stock.

D&D will have a 2 into 1 out first of January and that's what I'm waiting for. I've had about all of the 2 into 1s and the D&D fat cat is my favorite, followed by the Vance and Hines Pro Pipe but I think they're spring on delivery.

I have Reinharts on order, should be here in 2-3 weeks. I measured the OD on the stock mufflers and it was about 3.5". The V & H and RC Components were both 3" mufflers. I want to keep the OEM satin heat shields. Still waiting on a Fuel Moto map too. The local dealer had a set of the Reinharts on a Heritage in the showroom and they sounded excellent.
