Good afternoon Gents. I am trying to figure out what years of frames have interchangeable parts. I am wanting to put floorboards on my 2005 FXSTB. I have seen several times, 2014 Softail Floorboards for sale. Does anyone know if the mounting brackets are interchangeable or not?

 

you can use this link to search part numbers by year an model an see if they have the same part number....on the 2014 softail footboard bracket the part number appears to be an "11" part, updated in 2011.

when I had my V rod I put some mini footboards on it...it was a big help for comfort an a lot less hassle changing everything:

 

I have a 2005 FXST that I put a set of floorboards from a 2008 Crossbones. The mounts bolt to the frame with no modifications. I received the brackets, boards, shift and brake levers. I had to use my existing master cylinder, and purchase a jiffy stand for a 2008, my stand from my forward controls would not fit as the design changed in 07 I think.
