Wiggle

Wiggle
Doesn't happen all the time, but I'm experiencing what is best described as a wiggle. It feels like the rear wheel breaks loose for a second. Due to absent mindedness my steering post was not regularly greased. Although it feels like the problem is in the rear, I'm wondering if this can be the issue. I also thought maybe the bushings on the swing arm (is it still called a swing arm on a softail) could be the problem. It also has been suggested that my spokes are loose or in need of swapping. I have a little trouble with that theory. Checked the spokes and fine, but not on a stand. Thoughts?

I'd check;
Tire Pressure front and rear
Axles bolts are tight
Brake caliper bolts are tight
Check if there is wiggle in the wheels like the wheel bearings are going out
Check the steering head bearings. An easy way is to ride and come up to a stop somewhat quickly. If you hear a clunk it could be the steering head bearings
Make sure shock bolts are tight (to spec)
Thats where I'd start.

Shot?
I'm assuming and we all know what happens when you assume, that is a shot. If it is original material, very creative. If not please pass the compliment along to the appropriate recipient.
To all the other posters thank you. I'm in the process of eliminating all the suggestions.
