So did you test ride it or just look at it?
I took a demo ride on one and for me it fit me better and rode better than the previous Dyna did. The looks could be improved on but the ride and power of the bike is an improvement. I didn't like the mid controls or the stupid graphics but if I wanted a smaller bike it would work.

The Low Rider is the only one I haven't seen in person yet. I did get to see an '18 Slim parked right next to a '17 Slim yesterday at the dealer. Fit and finish were the same I'd say. I'll agree that side by side the lines of the '17 were nicer and a little more defined, but the '18 still looked very good. It's very close when not comparing directly. Having ridden the '18 I know the changes/improvements are much more than skin deep. Nothing cheap about it imo. Feels 10x upgraded from the Twin Cam overall.

Funny but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder? I paid good money to have anything on my XLCR Clone that had chrome on it sandblasted and replaced with a "stainless steel plating, (or polished aluminum) I really didn't care about keeping everything perfectly stock since I never plan on selling it and had to do some major mods to make the bike comfortable for me to ride, in particular the rear-sets and exhaust.

I've never been a Low Rider fan. I mean back to the '70's non-fan. So take what I say in that context. I recently saw a '18 model sitting right next to a new '17. The '17 looked much better IMO. I doubt there is any comparison performance wise to the 2018 version, but looks went to the '17.

I stopped into Charlotte HD to check out the 18's.

They didn't have a Heritage or a Slim, but they had all the rest.

Low Rider looks weird....it's the way the new suspension sets the rear fender higher off of the rear wheel....
It gives it a very metric look....like a Kawasaki Vulcan 900.

The Headlights on the Fat Bob and Fat Boy just look wrong....they look like Jap bikes trying to look like a Harley.

The Breakout looked good although it's not my style.

The Street Bob has always suffered from people thinking it looks like a Sportster, and the new, smaller tank doesn't help with that perception at all.....and the wrinkle black bars are ugly AF .

Overall not a fan of the changes, but I still want to see and ride a Heritage lol.

Cool

i really do not think the paint jobs on the 2018 softtail line have the luster . the paint looks dull to me . 2017 paint jobs look way better i told the salesman at harley . harley puts there effort into there touring line.... i might not be arourd to see it harley someday will only build touring bikes i could be wrong lol

I did not ride it though I'd like to. I won't bother a salesman for a test ride unless I'm right at the point of pulling the trigger on something, even then I tend to rent something rather than just take a test drive. The next time there's a demo day I'll try to get one to go around the block and see what in think.

Torquey,

Your bike looks better than the new Red one.

The headlight, the handlebars, the wheels are three items right off the bat.

The best styling change they ever made to a Fat Boy over the years is the chrome bullet hole wheels.
