91 Heritage Softail - Primary Locking Bar
Anyone know the correct length to get? I can cut my own bar, just need to know the length.
Thanks a bunch!

You can just make the stair step thing from a nylon cutting board. 3 or 4 steps does the trick. Then you don't need an exact length bar.

Yea, I have seen bad things with that in the past though, and they don't last as long. It may be on there with Red Loctite too. Maybe I'll heat it up tonight and give it another go with my Nylon step I have, it just started digging into it a bit last night.

If it's open already you could measure the gap to make one. My manual is at home. I think it was 6.5" on my '92 FXR but not sure.

The step worked just fine once I put a heat gun to the nut. Had Red Loctite on it.
Thanks

Sweet. Love a happy ending. Red can be a bitch.
