Default Adjusting shocks on 2016 Faboy Lo

So having read my manual on my new bike I decided to adjust my rear shocks. With the introduction of the new chassis for 2018 and all the hoopla about the new shock you would think that adjusting this was a real pain in the ***. Nothing could be further from the truth. I stopped at the dealership and picked up the Shox spanner wrench and using that and my tool kit I had everything I needed. The center cut out on the spanner is the correct size to unlock the lock nut. By holding the knot on the end of the shock towards the front you can get enough toward and release the lock nut. All of this I did on the side stand. Using the chart I decided on three turns from fall hard for my 225+ pounds. I mark the shock body with a paint pen. Going from full counterclockwise three complete turns I set it and locked the nut. All of this was done in about 10 minutes laying on the floor that on my garage floor. It’s very simple procedure. Not one to be intimidated with at all. The trick is to buy the Factory shop wrench. Personally I’d round off about 1/8 inch off the end of the shock wrench that I would not ever use to fit under the bike.

It's funny how many people don't adjust them. What a difference! Add virtually any front suspension change and the softail becomes a really fun and capable bike! Happy riding!
