I see where you said that you test rode both bikes a few days ago. Here's my thoughts. Which ever bike felt and handled the best for you, that's the one to buy.

Keep in mind color choice. That red denim may look great now, but it could quickly loose popularity and be hard to get rid of at trade in time. Black denim should be a choice for the Heritage, it would fit the bike, but they went with primer red.

Congrats! Shield pops off in 5 seconds...bags come off easy in 5 minutes and look good on or off...you've got the best of both worlds and it's much cheaper and easier to remove the practical parts of the Heritage than to add them to the Fat Boy.

It would have been an easy choice for me. If your goal is to actually ride the thing, then the Heritage is the easy choice. Color-wise.... Twisted Cherry all the way.

Still until news breaks that the transmission fluid migration issue has been resolved... I wouldn't have pulled the trigger.... All that I can say to those that do... Thanks... Somebody has got to beta test these things...

The '18 Heritage in the red is a great choice and a great looking bike. Be sure to give us a riding impressions report!
