Default Burnout Cycles lowering kit

I have read on here that these kits are easy to install.

Anyone used it? What do you think? Is it easy to install? Is it worth the money?

Not really wanting to buy all new shocks. Would like to lower my bike about 1.5-2 inches.

I though it was very easy to install, once you get the shocks out. Those bolts can be tight. I loosened everything while it was on the jack, then put a 4x4 under the rear wheel and lowered the bike enough to get the clearance to remove and install the shocks. But the kit is a breeze, just make sure you have some loc-tite for the studs, you don't want them coming loose.

P.S. My bike could go a lot lower, i'm up near the top of the setting for 2 up riding.

How much did you lower your bike?

I never measured it before installing the kit, but I attached a couple of before & after pics. Like I said earlier, I could have gone a whole lot lower. I origanly set the nuts on the kit at the end of the studs, but when I let the bike down on the ground the tire was so far in the fender I was afraid there would be clearance issues, especialy riding 2 up. (Yeah, that's my bike a year ago)

Anyone know the best place to buy the kit?

Do I need a shorter kick stand?

I believe Warg if your only lowering the rear you don't need a shorter kickstand. If you are lowering the front as well... u will need a shorter kickstand but that will usually come with the better kits such as HD and Ness. FX's can generally get by with thier kickstand to a certain point.

No, it will be fine. May not lean as much...but no big deal!
