Default Exhaust for 2018 Milwaukee 114 Fat Boy

Contemplating the new 2018 114 Fat Boy. Wanted the Breakout but don't like the small tank (3.5 gal) and wanted chrome wheels. Probably an option but not shown on line. Bike has a lot of parts blacked out and some less appealing changes to the eye for 2018. Good suspension, frame and engine though like all 2018 Soft Tails. Seeking exhaust options for this bike (114 Fat Boy). Seems to be the one bike that looks best with the stock exhaust layout but I'm not one for stock exhaust. Would love to put on a Vance & Hines exhaust but it changes the look on this bike. It seems the chrome is also a brushed chrome for 2018. Not sure if V&H makes slip on's that match. I think they would be louder than anything from Screaming Eagle. Has to be loud! Would like the heavy breather and Stage 1. If anyone knows... haven't been to the dealer yet.

I want a Breakout with a FB tank.

OR, a FB with a Breakout front end.

Wonder which is easier...

For exhaust options you will have to have some patience. Bikes are only out a couple of weeks. Will take the aftermarket some time to come up with the stuff.

Not liking the wide primary of the new Fat Boy. Not liking the little fuel tank on the Breakout. Before, these were two of my favorite HDs.

I agree. The smaller fuel tank and no actual speedo assembly totally changes the proportions of the Breakout. I don't care for the new riser cap speedo and info centre or the perceived increase in ride height. The Breakout used to be the sexiest sister in the entire Harley family. Now it looks like a girl with a big *** and no *****....something's missing up front!

Isn't it possible to simply rip out the baffle and catalytic converter from the stock exhaust?

I don't think you will be able to change the exhaust and keep the bike under warranty and legal. The cats are in the mufflers which means they cannot be changed unless you put on mufflers with cats...this would be extremely expensive.

This is the first time any line but the touring line had cats on the bikes I think

Sure but you will void the warranty and it is also illegal to do

Not true, CATs have been on Softails and others for quite some time

And usually in the muffler. Only the touring moved it to the header in '14.
