From the photos, I like most or all of the new 2018s, especially the Fat Boy, the Heritage, and the Deluxe.

some of these are explained by the fact that chrome plating was invented until the early 1920's and not commercially available until 1924 . and then of course it took a while for the process to become common with manufacturers . it probably would have been unusual to see more than a couple of chromed parts on cars or motorcycles before the 1950's .

some really nice bikes there though , would have been interesting to have them as daily riders or to do a cross country trip on one

Well, the point is, this is obviously what they're going for with the '18 Heritage. There's been a lot of the "blackout" thing in recent years, but I don't think that's what they were going for with this redesign. Looks more like they're aiming to channel that era.

...cool idea!!

Are there any other exhaust options like true duals? I have not seen any examples.

The pipes are too high IMO and the bags look shorter. If you put lower pipes on, I would think the bags would look odd.

Yep, that's the only remaining question for me: how long before the aftermarket catches up?

Lots of pictures of bikes with black forks and bars. Mostly springers, but that's obviously what they're evoking here. It fits.

Still not crazy about the digital studs. But that's minor.

I want one. A 114.
I just test rode a 114 Heritage at Rocky Top HD in Pigeon Forge. Amazing! This was the most fun I have had on a motorcycle in a long time. The new suspension is everything I had hoped it would be. This is how the softail should have always been made. It doesn't hurt that the 114 has incredible torque and plenty of speed. I am not 100% sold on all the changes cosmetically, but I will own one of these shortly. I will always have my '91!

Going to look at one tomorrow. Sounds like a great bike. Lighter than a touring bike with the ability to travel long haul. I won't buy until early next year, this might be the ticket.

Hopefully Harley builds lotta 114 models. I think I would go with black.

Going to look at a red denim 114 tomorrow. Not getting my hopes up.
