2018 Heritage Classic--The Chrome Be Gone!

Not a fan of the blacked out look... that's personal opinion and I understand I'm probably in the minority these days...
That being said, the only Harley I've owned and never changed (other than exhaust), was my '78 FXS Lowrider... it was my first, I thought it was perfect, and I had way too much money into a motorcycle at that time of my life anyways...
There hasn't been a model year since, that I would see the new models, and know I would have to spend a little, in order to get the bikes to my liking/taste... This year is over the top though. Not feeling most of the new styling and could see I would need to spend more than I am willing to spend, to get a 2018 softail to my liking.
I like the new tech, the new motor (if they ever solve that trans to primary, oil migration issue), and some of the styling cues...
But...
I absolutely HATE; the Fat Boy headlight, the faux oil tank w/shock adjustment ****, and you couldn't give me a Fat Bob... wouldn't let it in my garage....
I hope the MoCo did their product research and these bikes appeal to the masses, especially the young, newer customer base... But I'm gonna have to pass..
I'm lucky enough, over the years, to acquire 3 HDs for my garage, and this new line-up has made me appreciate my current bikes even more....
No new Hd, or trade-in in my future......

Okay I'm sold!
Just did an image search of 50's Harley, and you can see exactly what they're going for.
Lots of pictures of bikes with black forks and bars. Mostly springers, but that's obviously what they're evoking here. It fits.
Still not crazy about the digital studs. But that's minor.
I want one. A 114.

I'm all for Harley keeping "current" but I'm just not really sure if this direction is going to hurt or help them. I know we are all Harley Supporters Here. So, that being said, I Love my 2013 Heritage and I just want to wish The HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTOR CYCLE COMPANY Good Luck. Hope it pans out fellas.
