My wife rode her Sportster to the dealership last Saturday and traded for a 2017 Softail Deluxe. I told her to wait to see the 2018's, but she has never been good at listening to me. At least the prices were right on the 2017's, so she got a good deal. Also, she could care less about an M8 or the latest greatest, so it was a great upgrade for her and I am super excited to have her on a bigger bike. She couldn't wipe the smile off her face riding it Sunday. Of course there is the off
chance I can sneak it out for a ride now and then.

I do have a question... I picked up a Nostalic windshield 57141-05. I bought it used and I need to know which docking hardware kit I need. Thanks!

not my thread, but I just bought a 2017 Vivid black Softail deluxe with security for $16500 out the door

 

She was trading, so we worked the trade higher in the deal, but ultimately it would have come out around 16,700 for hers. I wish I had seen the "deluxe's for 15k" thread before hand. Still happy with 2K under MSRP.

 

17 Softails around here (NH) are selling at $4-5K off list price. They are clearing them out to make room for the new bikes.

If I recall correctly that windshield will bolt right on without need for any docking hardware...the extensions should come with the windshield as part of the kit if you bought it new. They replace the existing bolts.

 

The hardware comes with the W/S so if the person who sold you the kit took the hardware off as well you should have it, if not you need:
