fenderless. you mentioned the tire/fender clearance. how did lowering the front change that clearance? the wheel and fender are both attached to the lower legs.
Actually, you're right. It's not the lowering that is causing the rubbibg, it the size tire, which is larger than stock. I have a 140/70/18 on the front.

In my opinion, black apes would really do it man. Because of the black on the bottom of the forks (tire/wheel)..I think black bars would kind of balance it and look great. I really think it would set it off.

Black apes would look great, but I like the regular apes better than gimps. Maybe a black a'f cover and horn cover of sorts too to balance out the chrome. All in all one sweet bike.

I can't express enough how much I appreciate everyone's response on my bike. I searched for a few months for the right "First HD" and this one kind of fell in my lap. I went to the dealer one day just to look around and ended up making a deal on this bike that happened to be in the back of the shop waiting to be serviced. It was a trade-in and hadn't hit the sales floor yet.

You guys have reaffirmed that I made the right choice.

I really can't wait to find the perfect set of handlebars for my needs and installing the V&H pipes, which I will attempt to install myself.

Thanks again folks for the compliments.

Well, you asked, so I say fender, if you keep that front end. IMO that headlight calls for a totally stripped front end, like a WG and, with those wheels, it should be blacked out, or maybe black chrome. Then, while you're at it, bob the back or go phat! That would rock. RIght now it looks in between.

I was thinking about both of those options, bobbing the rear fender or going fat. I really rather not cut my current fender as I would like to keep the origianl tins for resale value. I've yet to see another fatty down here in this color combination.

If anything, I'll switch it out for a different fender.
