Default What would you pay for a 2008 Fatboy?

Now that I am bikeless I am searching pages for another. I found a 2008 Anniversary painted Fatboy with under 2K miles. Asking price is $9900. I offered $8800. Thinking that tires will need replacing along with fluids before I could ride it home, I thought it was a fair price.
I didn't get a good reception on my offer. So I am wondering was I too low do you think? I feel it is a fair price for a bike that has that low a miles and probably just sat somewhere. Maybe I am too cheap, but that is my price range for that year.

It is what it is I wouldn't pass on a bike that was taken care of

He should counter offer instead of getting offended. Telling you what he needs to make a deal is part of a negotiation.

He kind of did. He offered to lower the price by $200. It just wasn't enough.

NADA Guides list it for $8695 in average condition. Low miles will add some value but I'd have a stealership do a servicing. Add that price plus tires, I would not go much higher. IMHO

I bought my 03 FB in early June and almost all of the Harley's that I thought were to high then and didn't want to deal for cash in hand are still not sold and season half over......can't tell you how many times I was told it's worth that-my answer is alway's the same IT"S ONLY WORTH WHAT SOMEONE WILL PAY and next year it will be worth LESS.

Exactly I don't care what any price guide books says. When it is my money I decide how much of it I want to spend. I honestly don't think the seller is thinking that the tires are trash and maybe some gaskets/seals as well. I am willing to take that chance just not for $9900

when a bike is for sale and need's tires (say $500) then since he was to lazy to do it and take care of bike then I double the price of tires, I already think it's sounding like I would offer less than you did and walk away from that one, there is a ton of Harley's for sale every place and if they don't sell soon it will prob set for another 8-10 month's. I will step up for a damn near perfect bike that the guy can show me it"s turn key ready and cared for.
