The news was showing Newcastle, WOW they sure got the rain. We had a little shower for a day then it moved down your way. I'an in north Queensland. I was in Bathurst last September and wasn't able to reach Sydney because of floods, you may be in for it again.

Howdy, had an experience I'm willing to share. My boy and I took and overnight drive so that we could fly on board the Collin's Foundation B24J Liberator. The forcast was for the possibility of light rain. When we took off for home, we covered only about 15 miles, and were soaked to the bone, and could see NOTHING. We stopped alongside the road and noticed deer standing in the road, which we hadn't seen until stopping. That did it, so we got a motel and spent the night. Took off the next morning, so cold that in 50 miles neither of us could feel our fingers. After getting home, I had what I thought might be a good idea. I put together a 'cold weather kit', consisting of a turtle neck sweater, wool socks, glove liners and long johns. I placed them neatly into a space bag and shrunk them down to nothing. They now sit, dry and clean, in the bottom of my bags, ready for my next ill concieved trip.
