That is how I do. Although I can't remember if the beer comes first or not. You aren't baking a cake here.

Yeah but the issue I had was the crappy craftsman lift I have doesn't fit under the bike. So to drain it I had to sit on it to keep it straight, but when I filled it was on the jiffy stand.

Need a better lift

You could always have a buddy sit on the bike to keep it upright while you refill the primary. Just a thought....

Glad to know it wasnt something I did Just got me worried that something happened after I have been fiddling with it.

thanks all!!
Cool, it's very easy to over tighten the master cover. I go down and bottom and turn just till I see gasket bulge slightly. It is what I depend on keeping screw tight. Seems to work on a Softail. And a few years ago, they came out with a gasket that was a nightmare.
Are your mirrors painted?

Yeah I hear ya. I'm looking into getting one myself. My first 2 services are free, but after that I want to change my own juices.

Yes, mirrors are black. I washed the fluid off when I got to work, but noticed there was pretty visible spots on the paint. I read somewhere thatan orange based cleaner can clean DOT4 fluid so tried that when I got home... seems to have worked.
