Default 1991 fxsts ignition problem?

Hi, guys, please can someone help, my hubby is pulling his hair out. he went out on his bike and after about half hour it started backfiring then cut out. he stopped for a while, it started back up went on for a little while and did it again. when it started again he went like crazy trying to get it home , when he knew it was dying again he held in the clutch slowed down and then it would fire back up again. did this a few times in space of ten miles from home. he has since got a new accel coil, and a new cam positioning sensor, but doesnt want to buy module if its not that. is there anything else he cant do before spending more money. summers going be over by
the time he gets it fixed at this rate.. I must say hes a great mechanic but he sucks at electrics.

He is probably right on the cam sensor. He will probably be able to tell if it I all melted when he takes it out. Other than that, could not be getting fuel for one reason or another. I would also change out the plug wires. They are cheap and can cause problems like that.

already changed the cam sensor, no change. someone suggested it could be circuit breakers. is it worth changing them.
