My neighbor wants me to install some new rear shocks on his '04 Deuce FXSTD/softail, I've never owed a softail in all my years of riding and just curious as to what to what's favored by you softail riders?, something in the mid-range prices, I tried to get him to go high end Ohlins etc. but his budget won't allow him to.

 

Progressive 422s are about the only option. About $400 on eBay. If there is something else out there, I don't know about it.

 

Progressive 422's are popular for a modest price. I have Works Performance but they cost a lot more than progressives.
