Fatboy pricing question

Fatboy pricing question
I have a 1997 Fatboy with 4,100 original miles.
Looking a Fatboys on Craig's List that are comparable asking price is around 8-9k, but they have 30-50k miles. So my question is how much more is the low mileage worth?
It also has a Stage 3 kit, does that increase, if so how much?
I appreciate any answers to these questions, and if you can answer them, how much would you ask if it was yours?

7k is about tops for an evo era harley. Unless it is really nice or one of the special models that has been unmolested. 8-9 seems high for an evo fatty, although prices may be higher where you are located. That is really low miles, however a low mile bike provides quite a few issues not many people realize. Old tires, old lines, old cables, or it has had a Speedo swap in its life and mileage is nefarious. Don't forget this thing is 20 years old. I have 2 98 evos, the softail custom had low miles when I bought it. I had to change all lines, cables e ct. due to it sitting. The ultra classic was ridden, and i have not had to replace any wear parts on it yet due to it being maintained through its life. Don't get me wrong, a low mileage bike may be nice if it was properly maintained, but a lot of the time they are not. But the evo motors are the best IMO , reliable and easiest to work on with plenty of parts available. The later models have most of the kinks worked out of them as well, biggest problem was inner cam bearing. With stage 3, that should have been taken care of though.

could be....I didn't even bring up "the closer to stock the better" angle. some like a bone stock bike or near stock so they know it's not been hacked up. A dealership might be able to get $6500-7500 since they can arrage financing. If he's in a hurry it's a 5-6K bike an if he waits for the right buyer, it could take a long time, he might get 7-7500. I love my evo's but they just don't bring the cash.
