Default changing bars with stock internal wiring

I'm slowly personalizing my '15 slim....I'm thinking of throwing some 8" bars on it but I'd like to know if the connector for the internal wires will slide through the bars or will I have to either cut the wires or take the pins out of the connectors? If I don't have to cut anything or take the connector apart I'll do it soon, if not I'll put it off for an off season project.

You will have to in-pin the connector. It is rather large but pulling the pins out is cake just make sure you make a cheat sheet so you know what wire came from where

Remove the tank bolts front and rear. Disconnect the quick release fuel line adapter. Raise the tank and pull it back. Wiring harness is there in the front, you will have to pop the pins out of the connectors, plenty of youtube videos to walk ya thru. Piece of cake, just remember on reassembly to follow your service manual color code and pin numbers on the connectors.

On my 16 slim I didn't have to depin any of the connectors. They were small enough to pull through the bars. My buddies 09 crossbones had to be depinned. It's not hard to do just time consuming.

I have a 2015 slim. I think only the turn signals need to have the pins pulled since they were on the same clip. All the others can slide out. 8" bars should fit without having to change any cables or wires.

That had to be interesting.

Also, you can look at a manual, or write stuff down, but it is easier to just take a picture with your phone so you know where the wires go.
