An SOS pad works for me, especially if you have any rust on the spokes.
That's expensive and coarse. At a auto parts store, auto paint store or box hardware stores you can buy small bag of steel wool for probably 1/4 the cost. I buy 00 to 0000 and depending on how much shining I need will depend on which one I use. For example when we go on rides my wife boots melt to the slip-on. so when it cools I will use 00 and the rubber comes right off but for polishing I use the 0000.
Cautions; don't touch the paint, don't buy scotch bright pads thinking it is the same as steel wool. Scotch bright will take your chrome off very efficiently.
