Newb question: 2009 Heritage
Hello,
Not a newb, I am usually on the sportster forum, but am totally new to softails.
I sat on a heritage softail this morning and felt it was a pretty good fit. But when I stood the bike up, the clutch cover and part of the primary cover pressed firmly against my left calf. And that was with my legs as far apart as I could. I imagine the engine gets very hot when running so, having it like that is dangerous.
Anyone else in this situation before? How did you solve it? I'd have bought the bike had it not been for the above problem.
Thank you for reading me!

Heat from the primary really isn't an issue unless you're wearing shorts or something. Right side is where all the heat is at. Interesting you mentioned this, next time you have a chance pick up a bike with the M8. The primary is narrower for this exact reason. More of a comfort/confidence thing vs people getting scorched.
