I purchased a neat, cheap shallow drain pan that is in the shape of a triangle from Autozone. This allows you to get the pan underneath all the drain points while the bike is verticle on a motorcycle jack. Works awesome.

Thanks for the tip road clam. I have a bunch of old pans in just about every size that I have used over the years. I see you have a KX 500, I just sold my Cr 500. Those big bore 2 strokes keep you white knuckled.

They use a puck in place of the oil filter to force 100% of the oldoil out of the tank return line. Pretty cool idea.
