Default 1.5" monster bars on Fatboy

Anyone have DNA monster bars on their Fatboy? Thinking about getting some 16" apes for my Lo and wondering how they look on it. Sometimes the bigger, fat bars don't look right. Hoping they will look good with the Fatboy front end tho

I have the 14's on my night train. Quality is not so good. One member got a set with scratches and mine had a small dent. They also run short so 16's measure 14.5-15 inches.

If you like that style of bar I would save up for a set of Todd cycles stripper bars or torch ind. makes similar bars

I have a set of 16’s sitting on my bench, ready for install. If you buy a set, plan on having them powdercoated, because the finish they come with is ****, like, really bad. My coater made them beautiful for another $70, but I have a relationship with them. Best figure on $100 for coating, plus the cost of the bars, you could've just gotten Carlini’s and been done with it. Wasnt option for me becasue the 1.5” Carlinis wont work with a hydraulic clutch. Buyer beware

Yea I've heard that they scratch really easy. I don't really have the money for Carlini's.. That's why I found the DNAs. Just not sure if I want 1.5" bars or if I should stick with 1.25". Have some money to spend right now but wanting to stay around to 2-250 mark. Didn't realize how expensive it is to put apes on a bike haha. All the bikes I've had in the past have already had the work done

If you want advice, dont cut corners, save up if you have to. Its not just that they scratch easily, the finish sucks. Think rattle can. You can't have them coated when they're on the bike.. If you want it done right, just wait till you can do it right. You'll be happier. Otherwise its going to look shoddy, and you'll be chasing rock chips and corrosion etc.

Last thing to factor in is your risers. DNA only makes them for 1 inch clamp and a lot of the new bikes come with 1.25 od risers. You may be saving money by having torch ind. make you a set of bars with the proper clamp diameter. Risers are expensive for 1.5 inch bars.
