Default Need advice on a new Seat for Softail Deluxe

I have been all over this forum looking for a new seat on my 2013 softail deluxe. It appears the best option is the Heritage Springer seat to move me back from the tank. After a month of searching ebay....they are just not available. Does anyone know if any of the other softail seats out there will move me back and still be comfortable?

I am not a fan of the mustang or others...was looking for a Harley brand that will move me back and be comfortable.

My current stock deluxe seat gives me major back pain after 20 minutes on the bike. I love my deluxe, but the seat issue has to be resolved!

Thanks in advance.

Have you considered having your stock seat modified? I sent mine off to mean city cycles and had it reworked. I can actually sit on the thing now and not have any pain. I would highly recommend them. Only drawback is their lead time is at least a month out. Good luck! Dennis

MCC is the way to go, but if you do they recommend several hundred miles to break in and get right. Mine is now, just right.

C&C seats, I'll post two photos for you. One is the solo, the other their Fastback two up. Solo is comfortable, the fastback is much more for comfort due to the lumbar support. Both seats sit you lower and farther back than the stock seat. I'm not affiliated with C&C, call them up and talk to Chuck.

Why would you want a HD seat? Ive never had a comfortable one.I've been replacing stock seats with aftermarket ones since 1971. Have had quite a few Mustangs and liked all of them. They still look like new when I get rid of them too.

If you want factory, the Sundowner seats aren't bad.
I had one when I 1st got mine.
I wanted to do away with all the chrome spots, so
it went away on eBay
Comfortable though. Better than that stock thing.
Set me back an inch or two.

On another note, I've probl had 10 different seats on this over the years.
HD seats, a few. I even had a Badlander on there. That was worthless. One ride-GONE!! Corbin (4 diff ones) A few others.
Comfort wise, the Mustang Wide Vintage beats all.
Not so much in the looks dept. Eeeeh, oh well.
Bought it on ebay (took almost a year to find)
50c on the dollar. I want to say it it was $400 for the seat,
the back rest (rider) & the pass seat. Still like new. They really hold up.

Looks, my favorite seat is the Corbin Gunfighter

for those of you that have had the stock seat modified, what did you tell them so that they knew what parts of the seat to remove? I.E. how did you know parts to trim or add etc?
