20056 FLSTN Fork oil levels issues
Ok biker friends I am having issues with fork levels on my harley 2005 flstn.
So I have broke them down now twice and both times I put in 12.5OZ of oil and the right side the oil is over the top of the spring and the left one its way down below the spring. both have 12 OZ of oil tho. Anyone deal with this before? I did install a 2" lowering kit and they have no idea why it would have done this. I also did work all the bubbles out of the tubes.
Thanks

Yeah, that's weird for sure.
All I can think of is somewhere during initial assembly from the factory, someone dropped something in the lower leg, and assembled the forks. A piece of packing material, plastic.... hell, even bubble wrap could be stuck down at the bottom of that one fork, taking up the space the fork oil would otherwise fill.
Another disassembly would be all I could think of doing. Take a flashlight and peek down in there.

Are you sure both tubes are assembled correctly/the same? Check to see that one of the holes in the damper tubes are not plugged up. Are both the oil lock pieces seated correctly? A little weird but I'd check that everything is the same on both sides. Did you get all the correct parts with the lowering kit?
