Default wood cams

Had a wood cam (TW-6-6) by wood performance installed this past winter on my 06 FXSTI. Also have a Kuryakyn Pro-R Hyper, V&H BSS and a stage 1 and power commander III.

Anyway anyone have any knowledge on these cams? I've just been wondering since I had it completed. I had a very reputable local private shop install them for me. Says they love em and puts them on all their bikes.

I'm going down to the HD shop for a dyno run and possible tune next weekend. Will post the results then.

I had a wood cam once, but splinters kept clogging my oil filter!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

That is one sweet ride, Sarge! Looking forward to seeing your dyno results.

Wood cams? You have to at least laminate the lobes for reasonable life, or pressure treat them

I know that two dealers near me are using them now instead of S&S.
My indy had nothing good to say about the bigger cams Woods offer, saying they were hard on the top ends of the engines he has seen.

I have heard the ones you have are great cams!

Im using Head-Quarters now, I have no first had experiance.

Your probably good to go!

Ran Woods TW5G's in my 03 95" RKC, 102hp, 115 tq, and am running the Woods TW400-6 in my 07 Ultra, 115hp, 121tq. Both of those were a bit noisy due to the high lift (.575 and .650 respectively) and quick ramps, but they built torque!

The 6's are an excellent bolt in cam.
