Default Under seat box ID needed

On my recently purchased 06 Softail, there is an inline box that I don't recognize.

Looks like it hooks in as part of the rear wiring? Can I get an ID and does it even belong there?

See screenshots. Thanks

Looks like the add on to make rear turn signal work as brake light also. You may find the wires run to rear lights. Hard to tell from pictures.
Few question has this bike been converted to any LED lights?

No LED, if it doesn't need to be there I will remove it. Just let me know. See anything else that looks out of place in the other pic?

It's between the front (power) harness and the rear light harness. So like Smitty says, likely a run/brake/turn module or maybe someone had LEDs on the back and removed them before you bought it and left the load balancer there.
Turn your lights on and see if the rear turn signal lights also act as run and/or brake lights. On that year bike they would not unless you have the module.
If it's a leftover load balancer for LED and you don't have LEDs, you don't need it.

That is certainly tied into the tail/turn signal harness.
Take a look at your brake/turn signals and see if they flash, or perhaps the turns are working as brake lights as well which wasn't factory in '06, I believe.

Another good point. It may be a module to make the brake light flash. Didn't think of that because my run/turn/brake modules have switches on them to inactivate the brake flash function or to choose a flash pattern. His module may just be a single pattern unit.

That looks aftermarket. If I had to toss my .02 in....I'd say it was a rear stop light and \or turn signal bulb booster, for lack of a better term.
