Maybe look for a used one or recover yours and have a jel installed right where you tail-bone sits. I know a guy here in LA that does this for $150. You get the best of both worlds for 1/2 the price!

I had my OEM seat reworked by Mean City Cycles. For a little over $100 it's great, gel with some foam removed. You have to put some miles on it to break it in.

Did you check out Corbin. They make a very high quality seat and it is quite comfortable.

I went with a Corbin. Not a good choice. I ordered over the phone. It's a quality piece, but the seat and my backside just couldn't get along. It was hard. They say they need time to break in. I used it for six months (4000 miles) before giving up on it.

I finally had a local custom stitcher redo my stock saddle. Now I have a $700 custom Corbin with backrest sitting in a box that will probably rot away.

The $700 Lesson.....use a local stitcher where you can have the seat made to fit you.

I checked out Corbin....... and it was one of the worst experiences I've had yet with any company.

They shipped me a ripped seat and refused to cover the shipping to take it back and fix it. No returned calls or emails. I wouldn't buy another of their products if they were on sale for 50% off. Absolutely horrible customer service. I've heard the opposite from people who actually rode into their shop for a custom built seat but being in Canada, that was not an option. I strongly urge people to check their customer reviews before ordering a Corbin.... I wish I had!

+1 If you like the look of the stock seat, this is the way to go.

I agree with pipeyeti on this. The heritage springer seat is very comfortable.

Mustang Touring Vintage, Springer or even Heritage is fair, but with passenger's part, not solo. Corbin's belong in the dump, tried 2, no more wasted $
For the price go Mustang solo w/backrest!

I'm not a Deluxe owner, But I would recommend a call to mean city cycles they modded my factory slim seat and it made a world of difference.

First off I have to say most people run the lepera but it doesn't seem great for long rides 300-500 miles a day. It looks great though. Speaking with them on the phone was a joke. Who ever I talked to had no clue why I should buy there seat over anyone elses. Just that it looks good and is what every one else has. Lol

Speaking with Saddelman was a little more informative. All seats come with gel and there special foam. Etc. There seats don't move you down at all. But they swear it's comfortable.

C&C has been by far the most informative. They agree the lepera looks great but swear you can't do a road trip on it. They are also the most expensive by far. Everything is extra. Gel+$100, lower the riding position +$75, add diamond stitch stripe +$125, and add tank bib +$75. It adds up quick! For just the extras I could buy another seat.

I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for but damn. 2x the price of the next nearest custom seat? Really? Is the C&C seat that great? Or should I be looking elsewhere? Who has an opinion and please keep in mind it's just your opinion no seat war please. Everyone's *** is different. Thanks in advance for the input..
