If money isn't an issue progressive monotube up front and shotgun shock in the rear. I just did progressive drop ins for a 2" drop in the front and have dead creek 1.5" lowering collars on the rear until I can save up some coin for the shotgun shock. Works great for me, would just be nice to be able to adjust the rear for 2 up.
I used the Progressive drop ins too for the front and lowered it 2" and then a few weeks later I pulled it back apart and lowered it 2.5". I used the Dead Creek adjustable collars in the rear and lowered it 2". Been over 10k miles since and have no complaints at all. Shotgun shock is on my list though.
Mine is exactly the same as the guys above. 14k miles with no problems. It may not be as great as the air ride setups, but I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money when the ride now doesn't bother me and I have a much less complicated system.
Progressive monotube 2" lower in the front and Progressive 422, 2" lower shocks in the rear. Ride is great, but getting Shotguns soon so I can adjust for a passenger.
I don't know about current stuff. I've got progressive 422 in the rear of my bike.
I lowered it 1.5 and I bought an 18 inch rear wheel with a slim tire. Bigger rear wheel circumference makes it stuff up in the fender more and look lowered.
Stock height Progressive monotubes in front and 422's in rear on mine too. No Problem with the ride on the 422's when slammed but I am seriously considering a Shotgun for the rear now with the taildragger fender. The ability to raise and lower at will is appealing.
