Hello, I am new to the site,, I am not the actual owner of this bike,, but I am looking to get answers for the owner,, please help!


This is the issue,, he owns a 2001 Softail Deuce,, had his Twin Cam B rebuilt,
has reinstalled it. Went to reinstall his thunderhead exhaust and it isn't going on right. We have tried to imagine every possibility,, checked everything.. now we are wondering if the engine isn't installed crooked or off center?? Is this even possible? And is there a way to verify its placement??


any thoughts would be appreciated!!

 

Pictures would help....! who did the engine install?

 

I would think if it bolted into the engine mounts correctly then there wouldn't be away to have it "off center" being that its rigid mounted motor.

 

Was this exhaust on the bike prior to the rebuild?
If so I'd take the bike back to whomever installed the motor to resolve the issue.
If not, are you sure it's the correct exhaust for that model bike?

 

Has the throttle body/ carb manifold already been installed or is that out of alignment too?

Were the heads decked a significant amount during this re-build or decked and a MLS head gasket added?
