Agreed! If I want them to 'blend in', I remove the rubber,
clean the metal good with alcohol & paint them black....
(reinstall rubber)

That looks like an nice mount kit. Where is it from?

 

One slightly oversize (cables can slide through) adel clamp cured a noisy (engine off) rubbing sound on my Slim's throttle cable as well as balancing out the curve of left/ right handlebar cables. (Second image).

I have a special tool that helps to mount these adel clamps, they can be a pain in tight places.




Bike was delivered with poor routing of throttle cables, adel clamp fixed it, you can barely see the shrink wrap I applied to repair the scraped black insulation above the clamp.

 

I don't remember offhand, but it was off of ebay, a guy was selling the solo bag and mount kit for a sportster
