I live in Michigan (Lansing) and ride my heritage 2013 up to the time they start to put salt on the road. I have all the heated gear and can ride easily in the teens.
I have ridden year round every year since 1972 when I got out of the Army. Living in Ohio and Michigan it was pushing it, now in Alabama much easier. I've also gotten a bit soft...40 degrees is my cutoff now.
Came out of work on 2nd shift one night when I lived in the midwest and there was 4" of new snow on the ground and more coming down. Was the longest 12 miles of my life, took 2 hours to get home and more harsh language than I care to remember.
I could imagine myself cussing like a sailor riding that 12 miles. Lol
12-10-2016, hardly any cars out, real peaceful. Seemed kind of dreamlike, tires crunching on snow (about 8-10 degrees F), snow streaking by in the lights. Video is only a couple second clip. This is probably around 20 mph, never got much over 30, just looks faster. On my Russian sidecar rig, even my smallest Harley would be a bit difficult to pick up in the snow...
