Saddle Bags

The inside of my saddle bag has a plastic strip riveted to the leather on the top and keeps the bag open. It runs the length of the bags outer inside edge. Is this plastic strip a part that can be replaced or repaired? Thanks for your help

It would help if we knew what bag manufacturer you are referring to. If you can tell. Maybe a pic?
