Hard bags on an Softail pics ???

I don't ever remember HD doing hard leather bags on the Heritage, unless its a Springer thing. But you may want to get some bigger washers behind those wing nuts, more support around the plastic. My 05 has cracks.
Is is possible to get a side view of the bag with the lid up? I'd like to see the rivets along the top.

I'll take some more pics after the snow stops........the wing nuts/bolts actually go through the metal support brackets which are on the back of the bags. They are really built pretty strong with an all metal (steel tube) framework to support the bag. I'll pull one of the bags when I take pics. My model is NOT a Heritage, it is a Classic. Heritages were discontinued after the 03' year according to their "snob" site (they wouldn't let me join cause mine wasn't a "Heritage" model). I have seen both types of bags on the 05'-07' FLSTSC's (the only three years this model was made).

The Heritage Softail Classic, FLSTC, commonly referred to as a Heritage, was never discontinued. It was first introduced in 1988 and has been produced every year since then. Your model, the Springer Softail Classic, FLSTSC, was discontinued after the 2003 model year. I have a 1988 Heritage with an 80 cu. in. Evolution engine and a 2012 Heritage with a 103 cu. in. Twin Cam engine.
Your saddlebags began as stock leather bags, not "hard bags". They were the same bags found on a Heritage Softail Classic, FLSTC. The previous owner either added plastic liners himself or sent the bags out to have the plastic liners put in to stiffen the bags and maintain their shape. They did not come from the factory that way.
For the record, you have a beautiful Springer Softail Classic, aka Heritage Springer.

Here is a set for sale on eBay.........not exactly what I have but built the same way. May be a "Springer" thing.
Here is another set that look the same as mine......https://www.ebay.com/itm/23537031612...MAAOSwWKtllKqQ

Thank you for proving OUR point. Sorry, it's not a "Springer thing". Both links are for stock OEM Heritage Softail (FLSTC) saddlebags just like it says for each one. Those are exactly what I have on my 2012 Heritage except the for the studs and different conchos, but everything else is the same down to the warning label inside. They are not (leather wrapped ) hard bags. They are leather bags. The bags in your two links are how they come from the factory.
Again, you can deny it all you want and state that your research doesn't agree with ours. You have stock OEM saddlebags for a Heritage Softail Classic (FLSTC) on your Springer Softail Classic (FLSTCS).

Obviously "your" opinion of leather covered hard bags are not the same as mine......these are NOT leather bags with a stiffener kit installed. Just look at the back side....all hard plastic riveted to a steel framework. Leather attached to the plastic on the exposed surfaces. Call them leather bags if you want....I'll call them leather covered hard bags. I never referred to them as Springer specific since they did require a rear turn signal relocate. Opinions are like azzholes, everybody has one and they all generally stink. Subject closed from my point of view.
