Default Help with Springer Top Tree Conversion Plate

I could not find a Springer Top Tree Conversion Plate from Carlini, or anywhere else beside V-Twin, so I ordered one.
The thing isn't even lining up. The stud riser holes are offset, or not lining up to the factory springer fork studs. Am I installing it wrong? There weren't any instructions provided.

Does anyone know of any other place that sells these specifically for Harley Springers?

Also, if/when we do use them, are we no longer able to use our Gooden Tight Springer Riser Stud Bushing Kit?

Thanks. I appreciate any help.
I'm bout to pull my hair out with all of these parts not fitting.

The weight needs to be taken off of the front wheel in order for the holes in the riser to line up. Don't file the holes in the riser to make it fit.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't even think of the weight on the forks... But,
I have the bike in the air. So, do I need to let it sit on the ground to install the plate then? (essentially the opposite of the way I have it now?)

I wasn't even going to try to modify the plate. Too scared.
I was just going to return it, if it is defective, and try a different manufacturer.

I surely appreciate your help and advice. I've never messed with this stuff before. Thanks again!

Hmmmm..... I took my riser bolts out to install new risers, and I couldn't get the plate back on because the holes wouldn't line up. When I lifted the bike to take the weight off the springs, the holes lined up.

I lowered the bike back to the ground and everything lined up that was the puzzle trick.
Thank you!

Sometimes these bikes are as quizzical as trying to understand a woman. Especially when their arent instruction sheets for either one.

I am concerned now about the vibration in the handlebars since there are no stud bushings.

I don't have stud bushings with my Wild 1's stubby risers, and they're perfectly fine. I notice no difference at all.

Glad you got your girl figured out!

Well, I thought I had it figured out . . .

Now the Risers do not fit. I'm sure I've somehow ordered the wrong ones.
Did you get 4" Wild 1's? oh well, They are 1.25" diameter at the base.

Those wont fit on this stupid adapter plate either.

The ones I got from Demon Cycles specifically for Harley-Davidson Springer Front Ends sticks out over the edge of the Top Tree Plate. It is one thing after another....
