Default LONG OVERDUE "ATTA BOY" for JD.

I thought I had a slight problem with my Shotgun shock so I emailed the man himself, JD, and he called me back within 10 minutes of my email and problem solved. I had a new, complete set up on my doorstep 2 days later, no questions asked, problem solved.

Now, let the haters: hate

And let the supporters do their thing.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN THE MOTORCYCLE INDUSTRY in over 40 years of riding.

A couple five star ratings for customer service on a defective shock would sell me on their product.

A couple hundred five star ratings on a defective shock makes me run away.

Since you "opened the door"....

Now you know why they are so expensive. It costs a lot of $ to be constantly shipping replacement parts "no questions asked"

If I installed a $1200+ part & something went wrong, I would expect at least a couple of questions from the seller.

I'm sure he's probably a good guy with the best intentions, but it makes me wonder.

Naturally you almost always hear from people who have had an issue with a product, but you have to take into account how many units have been sold without issues that you'll never hear about.
I'm taking a guess here but if you were to search this forum for every complaint from actual customers who had a legitimate problem, you wouldn't get out of double digits.
I wonder how that would compare to total number of units sold...?
Regardless, there's no doubt that their customer service is downright astonishing.

Mine got somewhere around 5 years on them and still as good as the day I bolted them on. Wish I could have said the same about the Arnott's I had on before them.

Just goes to show the sad state of this society.... Man make a GREAT product.... the quality of workmanship, fit & finish of the product is outstanding... supports the customer's install of said product beyond any other company I know of..... answers phone calls and email more promptly than any other company I've dealt with... stands behind said product with a LIFETIME warranty... responds within minutes when a problem does arise with a solution without question.....

and still people will get on this forum and run the company/product down... MOST THAT DO DON'T EVEN OWN THE DAMN THING!!! WTF is wrong with us???

How long exactly is a "Lifetime warranty"?

Lifetime of the bike?
Lifetime of JD?
Lifetime of the business?

same as a lifetime warranty on anything else: lifetime of the business. Hard to get warranty for a business that's non existent. Shotgun has been around for a while though and doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon
