I think having that problem on a cold start is a small deviation from the norm. Your scoot is still under warranty, I'd bring it in. They may reflash the ECM.

It's readily available around here. I use it for my lawn mowers, weed trimmers, generators, etc., but never made any concerted effort to use it in my bikes. Maybe that's why I just got the bike out of the shop for fuel system issues(?)... or maybe it was just the fact that the bike is almost 10 yrs old.

Plenty of ethanol free along Lake Erie because of marine industry. Also down south of Cleveland in the Wooster area, Santmeyer has and distributes it all though the area. Just google ethanol free fuel and a large list that caters to the RV market will come up.

The gas didn't do this.

Lots of places around here have ethanol free premium, not just reservations.

Some big cities ban corn free gas, because they claim it causes pollution. Either way it makes them feel good to do something.

I don't think it was the gas. I think it would have been running on what ever was in the fuel system when you shut it off.

I suspect IAC.

Nothing really cares about fuel on start up. It is more a timing issue for detonation. More so under load. Unless really hot.

Clean hole under air covet at 11 oclock, or see if it is a fluke
