Correct, that the OP is aware of. However if the bike has a TSSM or BCM and it wasn't disclosed it seems to be the most likely issue, the only real way to know for certain is to have the OP check the part number of the Turn Signal module and see if it is indeed a turn signal module or a security module.
If it was a TSSM, and there was no FOB present the bike would not start without entering the PIN every time, correct?
